Luscious and highly textured, our Dry Aged Prime Bottom Round Roast is traditionally known as “Pot Roast.” This cut lends itself to slow cooking until fork tender. Add potatoes, carrots, celery and onions for a hearty meal. Flavor will continue to improve upon reheating. A great choice for an entree that yields delicious leftovers.


48 – 64 oz – 4-6 Average Portions
64 – 80 oz – 6-8 Average Portions
80 – 96 oz – 8-10 Average Portions

If you choose you can dust your meat with seasoned flour.  Heat oil, brown meat and set aside.  Brown you vegetables (onions, carrots or other selections).  Return Beef to the pot and cover with 2 inches water, broth or your favorite liquid.  Cover and cook low and slow for approximately 1 hours to 1 hours and 30 minutes  or until for tender.
Option:  When about 45 minutes remain in the cooking process, add vegetables. Adding vegetables at this time will help vegetables maintain their texture. Consult Cooking ABC’s for more information on cooking times.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  If you choose, select a seasoning recipe.  Place roast on roasting rack, fat side up in a roasting pan.  Put uncovered pan in oven and reduce temperature to 350 degrees.  Roast for approximately 20 minutes per pound.  Consult the Cooking ABC’s for more information on cooking times.  Let roast rest for about 4-6 minutes. Remove fat covering and string before slicing.
